Volunteering
Projects in Kenya:
Make a difference in the lives of under-privileged children
and adults by providing education and counselling in schools
and orphanages, HIV education, and medical care.
Teaching
Programs:
Volunteers will assist with teaching at preschool, primary,
and secondary levels. At primary and secondary levels, volunteer
teachers can teach core subjects, such as English, mathematics,
science, social sciences, and can initiate extra-curricular
activities. Volunteer preschool teachers will teach Basic English
skills and carry out basic childcare duties. This role is suitable
for a caring, motivated, and self-directed person. A teaching
qualification is not required (except for secondary teaching)
but volunteers need to be confident in the above subjects and
preferably have or be studying towards a university degree.

Marriage
& Family Counseling programs:
Marriage
and Family Counseling programs deal with the understanding and
resolution of problems that uniquely affect families and couples.
Marriage counseling is a valuable opportunity for couples who
want to build a healthy and long-lasting relationship. It can
be a worthwhile investment for the long-term, providing couples
with the skills and strategies they need to manage life together
in a healthy way. "Being Married" isn't the same thing
as creating a marriage.
Couple’s counseling is based on the premise that individuals
and their problems are best handled within the context of the
couple’s relationship. Married couples today feel increasingly
isolated and are expected to manage their lives and families
without the
community supports that in the past were a primary resource
in raising children and meeting family needs. Couples in our
present culture are less bound by family traditions and are
freer than ever before to develop relationships unlike those
of the families that they were raised in.
Volunteers in this area need to be grown up persons who understands
crisis in marriages and between couples and families. These
can be pastors, priests, professional counselors, nuns, couples,
doctors, all those who have trained in Marriage and family therapy.
Volunteers work is to rebuild, restore and renew a marriage.
They may move from house to house or visit the affected couples
or arrange for seminars. Be prepared
to encounter challenges.

Work
in an Orphanage:
Choose to spend a more meaningful vacation, participate in a
service project, and contribute your
valuable time to work with orphaned children in Kenya. Help
is needed to improve the living conditions for these children
and provide educational activities. While on this project volunteers
will work in the front lines to feed and provide assistance
to these forgotten little ones. Kids in these centers need your
special encouragement to revive their hope for a meaningful
future life. Your work in this project is very challenging and
much appreciated by the children. Most of the time volunteers
will be teaching English and assisting the kids with creative
activities such as painting, drawing, and dancing. In addition
to this, volunteers help in the kitchen preparing meals, and
washing dishes and clothes. With
help and assistace of volunteers, we do organize day trips or
excursions with these children trying to brush away their sad
memories and giving them hope.

Working
with Disabled and Mentally Handcapped:
Volunteers will need experience with handling disabled and those
who are mentally handcapped. They should be caring, loving,
motivated and self-directed persons looking for places to initiate
projects that would strike a positive and immediate effect to
a needy person’s life for long period of time. Its a great
opportunity to have an impact on children who really have no
hope.
One must be prepared to face hash realities of life, with regard
to the levels of need and sufferings. In return the children
will give you a rewarding and memorable time you will never
forget. Our project areas are safe and simply stunning and our
