Lake Bogoria

Considered by most to be the most beautiful lake in Kenya, Lake Bogoria is located at the foot of the towering Laikipia Escarpment in the Great Rift Valley. Bogoria is best known for its scenic settings and is famous for its furiously erupting hot springs, boiling geysers, and boiling pools, offering a breathtaking sight to visitors.

Lake Bogoria is also rich in blue-green algae, which attracts thousands of flamingoes and pelicans to its shores. Some of the hot springs are ideal for bathing and are excellent natural spas for the visitors.

The area also boasts Buffaloes, Hyenas, Warthogs, Zebras, Impalas, Baboons, Gazelles, and Dik Diks. Bogoria National Park also protects one of Kenya's remaining herds of Greater Kudus, which are easily seen on the eastern shores of the lake.
