who are old enough to appreciate easy and organized
travel and young enough to share an adventure

experience. Guests may be required to help set
up camp and assist in cleaning chaos.

16 Days Overland Safari in Kenya
Day 1: Arrival at JKIA and Transfer to
Nairobi
Arrive at J.K.I.A. Transfer to a budget hotel
for the overnight.
Day 2: Nairobi City, Giraffe Center,
Karen Blixen
After breakfast depart for a city that covers
the modern city, the national museum and the adjacent
snake park. Visit the city market where a wide
variety of African curios and the tropical fruits
and flowers. Visit the Giraffe centre situated
in a quite natural environment and is a home of
a herd of Rothschild giraffe (The tallest Mammal)
and over 160 different species of birds. If time
permits, enjoy a wildlife Video or Proceed to
Karen Blixen museum of the "out of Africa" fame
which was for many years her home. Explore the
beautiful remains. Later proceed to the hotel
for the overnight.
Day 3: African Butterfly Center-Ostrich
Farm
After breakfast, visit the Butterfly centre to
learn their history and later continue to the
Ostrich farms. Back to Nairobi for Dinner and
Overnight.
Day 4: Nairobi - Olorgesailie
After breakfast depart Nairobi for olorgasaille.
This is a historical museum where you will learn
more about the past. Some human remains and the
tools they used are well protected. Return to
Nairobi in the afternoon.
Day 5: Nairobi - Lake Magadi
After breakfast depart from Nairobi. Climb the
southern shoulder of the Ngong hills. The lake
bed appears white; due to its enormous pan of
trona the lake produces a wealth of microscopic
aquatic life which in turn, attracts many water
birds and bird watchers. Return to Nairobi for
the overnight.
Day 6: Nairobi - Masai Mara
After breakfast depart for Masai Mara. A stop
over at the view point of the Great Rift Valley.
Proceed to Mara arriving in time for lunch. An
evening game drive. Return for dinner and overnight
at the campsite.
Day 7: Masai Mara
Early morning breakfast followed by a game drive.
The reserve is the northern extension of Tanzania's
Serengeti national park and is home to numerous
plains game including wildebeest, common zebra
and the masai giraffe as well as antelopes like
Thompson's, topi exclusively for Mara, hartebeest,
impala and dik dik among others. After lunch an
option visit to the Masai villages commonly known
as 'manyattas' or proceed for a game drive. Dinner
and overnight at the camp.
Day 8: Masai Mara- Mt.Longonot -
Naivasha
After early breakfast depart for Mt. longonot.
It offers a wide range of attractions for those
who are keen on activity holidays including hiking,
rock climbing, biking and bird-watching. Lunch
en route. Proceed to Y.M.C.A for the overnight.
Day 9: Hell's Gate - Geothermal Power
Station
After breakfast depart for Hells gate national
reserve. On entering the park, a high volcano
plug rising out of the valley floor will be seen.
This is the Fisher's tower named after a German
explorer. Around the base, rock hyrax appear quite
unperturbed by visitors. Powerful geysers have
been harnessed with foreign aid to generate electricity.
The backdrop of the tower is the dramatic cliff
of columnar basalt which forms the walls of the
gorge. Later proceed to geothermal plant as you
return for Dinner and overnight at Y.M.C.A camp.
Day 10: Crater Lake Sanctuary -Elsmere
After breakfast depart for crater lake sanctuary
and the Elsmere a former home for Joy Adamson
where you will learn about the conservation activities
in the area and latter enjoy a boat ride at the
flesh water lake. Dinner and overnight at Fisherman's
camp.
Day 11: Naivasha - L. Nakuru
After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru. After
a lecture by the wildlife representatives a game
drive at the park particularly to learn how the
flamingoes survives. Overnight at the campsite.
Day 12: Nakuru - Lake Bogoria & Baringo
After breakfast break the camp for the salty lake
Bogoria. The lake is well known for hot springs
that are a result of volcanism. The alkaline lake
waters grow blue- green algae which seasonally
attract thousands of flamingos. Proceed to lake
Baringo one of the rift valley fresh water lakes
for a boat ride. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
Day 13: Bogoria - Nanyuki
After breakfast depart from Bogoria for Mt .Kenya
region. Arrive at Mt Rock in time for lunch. Relax
at the lodge due to a long distance covored. Dinner
and overnight at Mountain Rock.
Day 14: Nanyuki -Mt. Kenya (Mau Mau
caves)
Full day at the slopes of Mt Kenya. You will have
a walk to exciting village tours, bird watching,
forest studies, kikuyu cultural folklore and close
walk to Mau Mau historic caves that help you visualize
the struggle for our freedom fighters could hide
from the British troops during the struggle for
independence.
Day 15: Mt. Kenya - Nairobi
Leave Mt. Kenya after breakfast and drive through
the biggest open air market in East & Central
Africa Karatina. Continue to the rich Kikuyu farmlands
covered with coffee and banana plantations, pineapple
plantation at Thika and if time permits stop at
the blue post hotel for tea and have a chance
to see the Chania and Thika falls on your way
to Nairobi. Overnight at Olive Gardens.
Day 16: Nairobi
After breakfast a full day in Nairobi exploring
the beautiful city. From Nairobi drive towards
Ngong hills to the Karen Blixen museum of the
'out of Africa' fame which was for many years
her home.Exprole the beautiful remains and later
proceed to giraffe centre. It is situated in a
quite natural environment and is the home of a
herd of Rothschild giraffe, warthogs and over
160 different species of birds. Feed the giraffes
as you spend the morning or afternoon. The purpose
of the giraffe centre is to educate Kenyans about
their country's wildlife & environment and to
involve all visitors both local and international
in the excitement of feeding our Rothschild giraffe.
Membership is open to both residents and non residents.
Lunch at a restaurant. Proceed to Bomas of Kenya.
A boma is a homestead and just a few kilometers
from Nairobi. 43 different ethnic groups are depicted
through traditional dancing, music, song and folklore.
The greatest excitement is in the afternoon. Later
transfer to the Airport for your flight home.
